What kind of Insurance do I need?
You must show proof that you have liability, comprehensive and collision insurance.
Do you deliver?
YES! We do deliver for a fee and offer set up for FREE. We will deliver a unit up to 100 miles from our base location. Delivery fee is $4.00 per mile. This helps us to offset the high cost of fuel and vehicle maintenance. And remember...if we deliver, we have 4 trips invested to your destination, so the cost here is not unreasonable. Set up is free with a camper from Pilot RV Rentals.
Is there a rental contract that I have to sign?
Yes there is. It is designed to protect you and Pilot RV Rentals. It outlines all the fees, rules and regulations of renting from us. We will go over the contract with you and explain every detail so that all your questions are answered.
Do I have roadside assistance with the rental?
Only if you have roadside assistance with your personal insurance policy.
Do you have mileage limits per day?
We DO NOT have any mileage limits per day. But here is a question; why would you want to haul a camper 500 miles when you could rent one closer to your destination? We have so many wonderful and beautiful areas to camp in near Pilot Mountain, we believe you can find your next adventure close by. Ask us and we will recommend some great places to camp.
Why is there a deposit?
We hold a $500.00 for the simple fact that RV mechanics charge $150.00 per hour to work on one, and parts are not cheap. This price is pretty standard for a rental unit. Things happen, extra days are added on, something gets broken...etc., and a deposit makes it easy to remit a payment for an extra charge or fee. If the unit is returned without damage, you get it all back anyway.
